Broadband phone line

Broadband needs a phone line to work. Normally people just use a BT line that is used for something else like normal telephone service or a fax line. We can provide a phone line specially for broadband for £12.00 pcm. Installing a new line is £95.

Single bill

This provides one bill for both from us. This can be helpful as accounts departments in large companies are fond of cutting off random single phone lines if they do not know what they are for. Being on the broadband bill avoids the problem. It also helps put the bill in the right budget.

Single contact for faults

This also provides one point of contact for any fault with the services. This is useful as normally faults have to be classified as voice or broadband at the start and reported to the voice provider or us accordingly. Having one point of contact means we have to sort it either way.

How to order

Simply order your broadband service. As part of the ordering process we will ask if you want a new line with your broadband and take details of where you need it.

Restrictions

The line itself is installed by Openreach just like a BT line, on our behalf. You cannot normally make any chargable calls, but can call emergency services and freephone numbers from it as well as accepting calls. If we allow you to make chargeable calls, or there are reverse charge calls, or any other charges, we will charge you what OpenReach charge us, plus 20%. Outgoing calls are only enabled for established customers and at our discretion. We supply the line primarily for use with the broadband service and do not provide lines without our broadband service associated with them.
